Books are selling out in Brisbane and an order has been placed for more to be shipped from the United Kingdom.
I was happy to see on Facebook today that at least two readers have enjoyed the book!
From Barney Leith:
"I have just finished reading 'Journey to a Mountain', the intriguing and moving story of the decades long secret journey of the remains of the Báb from Tabriz in NW Iran, where He was martyred, to the golden-domed Shrine of the Báb on the slopes of Mt Carmel in Haifa in Israel. The story embodies a huge amount of research and is beautifully told by Michael V. Day and published by George Ronald. Definitely worth reading!"
From Tessa Scrine
"I have almost finished - thanks to three plane trips this week. It's a wonderful book."
Feedback
I was delighted to receive this feedback from a reader who obtained an early copy and bought a copy each for her two colleagues.
"I started reading the book on the flight home and was enthralled. I was confident about my purchases but it’s even better than I expected."
On their way
Some advance copies have arrived via air freight but most consignments are being shipped and will be arriving, for example in North America and Australia, about the end of February.
First copy
It was great today to be able to hold a copy of the book in my hands for the first time!
First copies ordered
Even before the first batch of books has arrived in my home city of Brisbane, people have placed their orders!

The books are in the warehouse ready for delivery!
On their way
Exciting news! The printed copies of "Journey to a Mountain" are on their way and are expected to be at the warehouse this week, ready for shipping worldwide.
Editor in Australia
I had a good discussion in Sydney yesterday with May Hofman, editor of "Journey to a Mountain". Among the topics-- the publishing of the next volume later this year!
The exciting news is that the first copies of Journey to a Mountain are scheduled to arrive from the printers on 26 January.
They will be available for purchase from February
